Last Friday September 28, LCA soundly defeated district opponent Middlesboro 49-7.  The Eagles used mostly their running attack in their triumph against the Yellow Jackets.  The team rushed for 182 yards and two touchdowns, however it was the passing game that dominated, resulting in five touchdowns.  Four of them were by Jayden Barnhardt, 11, and the other came from Mason Moore, 9.  The team will get a much needed rest with a bye on Oct. 5. They will return from the break to play their biggest game of the year to date against long-time rival Somerset. LCA has not lost to Somerset in the past 5 years.
