Will Vernon, 10, catches three touchdown passes in the game against Walton Verona.

Verona on Friday Sept. 14. The Eagles defeated the Bearcats 38-21. When asked about the game, Junior Quarterback Jayden Barnhardt (#15) said, “We started the game out well. Some defensive mistakes caused them to get back into the game.” Barnhardt had some help from his slot receiver, Sophomore Will Vernon (#9), who had three of Barnhardt’s four touchdowns. He said “Will is a great player on both sides of the ball”

Barnhardt also had some kind words to say about his offensive line saying, “the o-line only had one sack, I’d say it was the best performance we have had all year as an entire team”

LCA returns home to Eagle Valley on Friday Sept. 21 to face Kentucky Country Day, a team that runs a similar offense to the Walton-Verona Bearcats. This will be the second to last home game of the regular season.
