Senior Hayden Collins and parents celebrate as he signs his National Letter of Intent to play baseball in college.

This Wednesday, senior baseball player Hayden Collins signed his letter of intent to play baseball for Southwest Tennessee Community College next year. Hayden is a starter on the Eagles baseball team and was a huge impact player during the 2021 season. He mostly pitches and plays third base, showing his versatility.

Family, friends, and teammates gathered in the front of the school to watch him sign his National Letter of Intent. Hayden has been playing baseball his entire life, and this was a fulfillment of his lifelong dream to play college baseball. After two years at Southwest Tennessee, Hayden plans to transfer to a four year school to continue his playing career and earn a degree. After his signing, Hayden expressed his thankfulness. He said “I’m super blessed to have the opportunity to play at the next level. God has blessed me with not only to play the game I love, but has blessed me with some incredible relationships along the way. I’m incredibly excited for the future, and my senior season with my teammates.”  LCA is very proud of Hayden, and this achievement is no surprise to his teammates or coaches. They are very excited to see what he does at the next level, and wish him nothing but the best.
