Requirements to get Back to Normal

The FDA has certain requirements in order for America to be able to reopen. Those four requirements are:

  1. Nationwide cases must decrease every day for 14 days straight
  2. Each hospital in every state must be able to treat all COVID-19 patients safely.
  3. Each state is able to test everyone with COVID-19 symptoms.
  4. Each state is able to monitor each confirmed case of the virus and everyone they came in contact with.

Due to a massive decline in Kentucky, the state has already set specific dates for certain places to reopen. Phase one starts on May 11th and professional services, such as manufacturing and construction, can operate at 50% capacity. Also, horse races without fans and dog groomers can reopen. On May 20th, retail businesses and places of worship can start back up again. On May 25th, 10-person social gatherings, barber shops and salons, and cosmetology businesses will be allowed again.

Phase 2 will include restaurants, movie theaters, camp sites, youth sports, summer camps, and day cares will be allowed to reopen, but the dates have no be given for when this will start.
