Senior Lunch Is a Treasured Tradition

Approximately once each month throughout the school year, every senior gets to go out for lunch and enjoy their time with friends. This long-standing tradition also allows students to get off campus for a little bit, as they miss their fourth hour class. For the January senior lunch, many LCA athletes went to Gattitown, as it is a very popular spot for them. It is only cost $8 to eat at an all you can eat buffet, with arguably the best pizza in town. Dee Smith, 12, said that Gattitown was the most amazing lunch of his entire life.  With a smirk on his face, he added, “I was so happy to be runner up in the kissing chicken competition.” At Gattitown, once diners done eating, they can go play games and win prizes.

Riley Fairchild, 12,  and the rest of the girls’ soccer team opted for pizza at a different locatin.  They went to Blaze Pizza. Riley said that the “crisp, cheesy, spicy, pick two, pizza from Blaze exceeded my taste bud’s expectations and desires.” Seniors on the cheer team went down to Drake’s to enjoy some good ole Lexingtonian, considered by many to be the best salad in town. Maya Grasso, 12, said she “had so much fun spending time with her friends and enjoying going out to eat with them.” Seniors are already looking forward to their next Senior Lunch.
