Men’s Chorus Honored to Perform at KMEA

Mr. Wesley directs members of Cantare, the men’s chamber chorus during their fall concert.

Cantare, the Men’s Chamber Chorus, travels to Louisville, Kentucky this weekend to perform at the Kentucky Music Educators Association’s annual conference. This is the first time that men’s chorus at LCA has been honored in such a way.  In the past, the men’s chorus at has been small and has not received the high praise and attention that the women’s choirs do. The invitation to perform at the KMEA conference sends a message that the men’s choir is just as great as any other chorus program in Kentucky. This is a big accomplishment for director Mr. Wesley, as he has worked with his students to focus long and hard enough to train their vocals to perfection. Mr. Wesley is very proud of his boys. Connor Vance says, “I am glad to be a part of such a great group of guys, Mr. Wesley is such a great teacher. I am excited to see how well we can do this weekend.”  Good luck to Men’s Chorus and Mr. Wesley this weekend!
