The girls' cross country team takes the podium with their third place finish at state.

The Eagles cross country team headed out to the Kentucky Horse Park on November 2 for the 1A state championships. Thirty-one schools showed up, all hoping to bring home an individual or team championship. The teams lined up and, at the shot of the gun our very own Anna Rupp, 10, took a quick lead. She never surrendered that lead landing first and bringing home the individual champion award for the second year in a row. Her blazing time of 18.58.46 was 40 seconds ahead of the second place finisher, meaning the race was hers the whole time. Tia Alchureiqi, 10, was next up for the Eagles coming in at 17th with a time of 20:54.00. Hadley and Abby Bronski, both in the eighth grade, came next, in that order, in 28th and 29th places. The total team effort landed the Eagles a third place finish in the team portion of the championships, which ended the Girls’ Cross Country season nicely.
