Monday September 23, marked the official first day of Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. Students and staff were buzzing with excitement as the fall season marks the beginning of chilly weather fun. It certainly hasn’t felt like fall though, as October 1 posted the highest recorded temperature in October in Kentucky. Matthew Maggard, 10, said this about the fall season, “Fall is great because of the nice weather and fall clothing. I like wearing joggers and a long-sleeve shirt, I think that’s quite stylish.” People are excited, and the fun couldn’t get started soon enough.

Fall themed fun has began arriving here in the Lexington area. Pumpkin patches, orchards, haunted houses, and corn mazes are all included in the fall fun. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and students are excited for the full week off from school. This week, there will be no school Thursday and Friday as LCA begins it’s annual fall break. It comes just in time, to give everyone a much needed break. Happy fall y’all!
