The Eagles baseball team took time out of the weekend to volunteer at the South Lexington Miracle League. The purpose of the league is to give kids with disabilities the chance to play baseball in a controlled environment. These kids love the game and enjoy every minute of their games. Every weekend, the league invites a group of “buddies” who help the kids as they play.  The buddies are there to assist with hitting and catching and anything else that comes up during the game. Sophomore Elijah Hammond said:”It was a fun environment getting to meet some great people and enjoy the game of baseball. This was a great opportunity to give back to the community and help give others the chance to play the sport that we love.”
