Boys’ Golf Hits a 3-Peat

Jason Preston, 12, led the golf team to its third consecutive All A State Win.

September 7, the boys’ golf team won their third straight All “A” state championship. The top three individual state finalists were all our own. Senior Jansen Preston finished first with 68 strokes, followed by another senior- Alexander Bassel- with 70 strokes, and Freshman, McKean Collins, who finished with 70 shots. It was utter domination by the Eagles, and it seems as if winning All “A” state is becoming a tradition for the boy’s golf team. Alexander Bassel said, “It was a great weekend for the team, and our next goal is winning the KHSAA state championship.” By the looks of it, betting against the Eagles would be a gamble. The Eagles golf team is rolling and there’s no telling what they can’t do the remainder of the season.
