For years, the LCA football team has faced vast criticism over its schedule.  The team has been frequently been accused of having a weak schedule and  “playing nobody.” However, even the staunchest critic will have a hard time making that argument next year.  In the upcoming season, the Eagles will play two smaller teams with very impressive records: Paintsville (10-3) and Williamsburg (9-3).  The rest of the schedule is packed with teams that range from three 2A district games. Also, the team will face its first 6A opponent in a very long time when it takes on Madison Central.  Veteran players will also look forward to taking on Eagle Josh McClurg on his senior night.

The full schedule is:

East Jessamine, away (scrimmage)

Christian Academy of Louisvile,  away (scrimmage) This team was the state champion a year ago.

Louisville Moore, home (first regular season game)

Belfry High School (Pike County Bowl), This team has won the state championship many times.

Cincinnati Christian Hills, away

Madison Central, away (Roy Kid bowl)

Williamsburg, home (potentially the Homecoming game)

Washington County, away

Somerset, home, Senior Night (potential district championship)
